|Race Against Time|
2001 "RACE AGAINST TIME"
Follows Stephen Lewis, the UN HIV/AIDS envoy to Africa, on one of his first missions to a continent where the pandemic has killed 22 million people. Documents his work, from intimate high level meetings with African presidents, to visits to grass roots projects where poverty, lack of women's rights and access to medicines must all be confronted in this race against time. After years of denial, African leaders and the UN are finally attempting to stem the catastrophe.
